Summer Fun

Summer has been great! The kids are having a great time. Each morning they get up early and ride their bikes with friends. It's a 3.5 mile bike route which gets some energy out and they have a great time playing with friends. We've spent lots of time swimming, playing, camping and just goofing around. The relaxing atmosphere is wonderful! Soon we'll be back in the routine of school but for now we are just enjoying life.

Brooklyn 9 monthd old

Our sweet girl is growing up so fast! She is learning how to actually crawl now instead of the side scoot. Brooklyn is learning a few more words and repeats whatever she hears in her own way. She is very restless and always ready to go go go. Brooklyn loves people especially her Tatey (Katie)! She grins and claps her hands when someone comes up to her. She will talk your ear off as long as you talk with her. She loves to stand up and pulls herself up on practically anything. She tries to eat everything! If she can get a hold of it, it goes into her mouth! Brooklyn loves food and tries everything, flip flops seem to be her personal favorite. We love our Brookie-Lou and wouldn't trade her for the world! She is one very sweet little girl with a big personality! 

Independence Day 2012

We are so thankful to live in this free country where we have so much choice! We are thankful who have and do sacrifice for our welfare so that we could enjoy these freedoms. We attended the 4th of July parade and watched Hailey throw out candy on her float! We had a BBQ with friends and ended the evening with a concert by South of Graceland and a huge fireworks show! It was a blast!

Growing up

Katie and Emily are pretty inseperable! They are both going to be changing schools this next year and have grown up so much this past year. Katie got Emily a best friends necklace set for them as a birthday present. We are so glad that Katie has great friends! They have played hard together and really enjoy just hanging out! It really helps with the struggles of life to have friends to count on.

Splash pad in Washington Fields

Sisters' lunch ended up at the splash pad in Washington fields. The kids love to play in the water even Brooklyn got in on the fun! It is really nice to have the kids growing up so close to their cousins!

Main Street park is great for playing in the water!

 The kids love to play at the park on main street. It has lots of water features to endure the heat of summer. We met up with some friends to play with and eat lunch! Even Brooklyn was able to get her feet wet!

Summer Piano Recital

Katelyn and Taylor performed in a small piano recital showing off their talents! Taylor has been anticipating this all year! His very first piano recital.  He's been super nervous since the day he started piano with having to perform in front of other people. He did a great job! Katelyn was an old pro, she even improvised when she forgot the ending of the song. I was probably the only one that noticed since I've been hearing them practice these songs for months now! I love having my children take piano lessons and learn this skill. It is a huge task to undertake but Zack and I feel that it is so worth it!

Father's Day

We love our daddy-riah! Zack is a great dad and makes sure that each one of our kids feel loved! I am so thankful that I chose him to share my life with. I picked a pretty terrific man to father my children! We started the day off with a simple breakfast in bed, that the kids made. Followed by some pretty cool shoes, Kermit the Frog by adidas and questionnaires that the kids filled out. By the kids answers, he's pretty old and short!

Brooklyn is 8 months old

Our sweet little miss has turned 8 months old. She is getting around better everyday and quite the ball of energy! Brooklyn loves to be entertained; her brothers always keep her busy! Brooklyn loves the water, she loves to splash and play without any fear. She can say dada, hey, baba and blows raspberries. She has discovered how to clap and claps for anyone including herself. Our sweet girl has taken a liking for her big sister, Katelyn and beams whenever she enters the room. Brooklyn loves food! She begs to try everything and hasn't found much that she doesn't like besides the mushed up baby peas! Brooklyn is still quite the cuddler and loves to give kisses too. She smiles just for the fun of it but we all love when she giggles, it's a serious belly laugh when you get her going. Brooklyn lights up our life and brings so much joy to our family!
