Valentine's Day

The kids were thoroughly spoiled with their candy supply this Valentine's Day! Lots of class parties, gifts from friends and both parents giving treats! Zack got the girls play jewelry and the boys glow in the dark bands. Unfortunately he wasn't paying much attention to the card he grabbed for them. It said Happy Valentine's Day, Grandson! I spoiled all the kids with goody bags of chocolate, then we played Valentine's games and they ate a heart shaped pizza for dinner. Zack went a bit crazy this year! He rented a limo for the night, dinner at a fancy restaurant, chocolates, flowers and a necklace. Where did this guy come from?!? He doesn't usually plan anything until the last minute so it was quite surprising with all the gifts and all. Everyone had a good time and felt loved!
I think I'll take a nap to recover!

Grandpa's 88th Birthday Party

We had the pleasure of celebrating Grandpa Belt's birthday last night! He has been such a blessing in our lives. We are thankful for the opportunity to be so close to him and share in celebrating him.
We sure love our Grandpa Belt!

Choir concert

Katelyn participated in a school choir concert! She did a great job and really got into some of the songs. The kids having fun sure helps makes the audience enjoy the songs! We are so proud of Katelyn and all of her hard work!

Joshua's 6th Birthday Party

Our sweet Joshua celebrated 6 years! He's always been such a joy to us. Joshua is very loving, plays hard, talks loud, enjoys his friends and family and all around good. He is really enjoying kindergarten this year and reading rather well. He has a very best friend Ty who he plays with all the time. Joshua plays well with his siblings and tries to do everything they do. He is a smart kid!
We love you, Joshua!

Senior Prom

Zack and I attended the Pine View High senior prom (as chaperones). It was lots of fun! We got all dressed up, danced a little, goofed around a lot, walked around, ate some yummy treats and laughed a whole bunch.

It was very different than my senior prom. They didn't take formal pictures, with technology now days the kids usually just whip out their phones anyways and their parents take pictures beforehand too. (The yearbook staff was nice enough to take a snapshot for us though!) The king and queen were crowned at an assembly instead of at the dance. They did have a song played for them but it wasn't really a slow song though. These kids do more bouncing than actually dancing now days, there was very few slow songs even played maybe 5 in 3 hours. The music was very new to me. We only heard about 10 songs that we knew. The kids loved it though!  I guess we're getting old but it was still fun to spend some time together and act like kids again!

Don't worry Zack lead the dancing out on the floor at first which was a little frightening, let's just say there was moon walking involved. Yikes! It did brought plenty of attention to the dance floor and got the party started!

Our little sunbeam

Matthew started sunbeams this Sunday! He was a still a bit embarrassed about his lack of hair so we found a cute Sunday type hat for him. It works well with his little vest. He loved Sunbeams! The change to Primary wasn't a challenge especially with Daddy and his big brothers there. Plus his favorite little friend Kirsten was in his class. His new teacher, Sister Staples even gave him a treat at the end. He was beaming!

Nerd Glasses

What a cute little nerd she is! Zack used these glasses for his halloween costume and Katelyn thought they were cute so she wore them to school. Watch out the 80s are back! Neon colors and silly things like big nerdy glasses. At least the large bangs haven't made their way back too.

A haircut

Matthew got all clever while Mom was in the shower! He found Daddy's razor and decided to shave his head. The only solution for this hairdo was a really close shave! He wasn't really happy about the hair cut after.
